Let Journalism Thrive! Towards Better Reporting, Gender Equality, and Media Safety in the Digital Age
World Press Freedom Day is a date to encourage and develop initiatives in favour of press freedom and a day of reflection among media professionals. Three inter-related issues will be explored in the 2015 global theme, “Let Journalism Thrive! Towards Better Reporting, Gender Equality, & Media Safety in the Digital Age.”
The opening session will provide a global perspective while the panel discussion will focus on the safety of journalists, specifically on digital security, the security of women journalists and freelancers, with an emphasis on ideas and best practices that can result in real change.
Event organized by the Department of Public Information (DPI), in cooperation with the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)
