The Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Helen Clark, participated over the weekend in the launching ceremony of LoGo, a local governance project and visited civil society representatives in Kabul, Afghanistan.
At a press conference on Sunday (15 Nov), Clark spoke of the importance of sustainable development goal sixteen.

“One the most important goals and one UNDP is very preoccupied with is this sustainable development goal sixteen on building peaceful and inclusive societies based on the rule of law, based on the people being able to participate, in the life of their country and honesty and transparency in governance, participatory governance, all very important to civil society.”
The UNDP Administrator stressed the need for practical measures that would help restore hope in the country.
