The Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon has convened an emergency meeting with his senior management team today to discuss the alleged nuclear test conducted by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

Earlier tody, DPRK announced it has successfully detonated a hydrogen bomb in an underground test.

During the meeting, the Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), Lassina Zerbo also briefed the Secretary-General over phone.
