Secretary-General Condemns Nuclear Test by DPRK

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon speaks to journalists on the underground nuclear test announced by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on 6 January. "This act is profoundly destabilising for regional security and seriously undermines international non-proliferation efforts," the Secretary-General said. "I condemn it unequivocally."
