Bashar Ja’afari, Permanent Representative of the Syrian Arab Republic to the UN, speaks to journalistS, following a closed-door briefing to the Security Council by Virginia Gamba, the Head of the OPCW-UN Joint Investigative Mechanism, on the Mechanism’s third report. The JIM was mandated by Security Council resolution 2235 (2015) to identify to the greatest extent feasible those involved in the use of toxic chemicals as weapons in the Syrian Arab Republic.
