Description

The landmark Paris Agreement to address climate change, adopted by world leaders last December at the Climate Conference in Paris (COP21), will officially enter into force on 4 November, before the opening of COP22 in Marrakech, Morocco, from 7 to 18 November.

The agreement sets a course for all countries to limit global temperature rise and to strengthen resilience to the inevitable impacts of climate change. The entry into force of the Paris Agreement marks the beginning of a new chapter for humankind and demonstrates that countries are serious about addressing climate change.
