US ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley met today (23 Aug) with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna.

According to the US mission, Haley’s meetings will revolve around the Agency’s monitoring and verification efforts and Iran’s compliance with the nuclear deal.

In a statement released after the meeting, the mission noted that Haley and Amano discussed US concerns about ensuring Iran adheres to its obligations. It added that Haley reiterated her Government’s determination to ensure the IAEA has the resources it needs for the verification of nuclear-related activities in Iran.
