Storyline

Even though she lives in a refugee camp, Sumayais positive about the future.

A recipient of a UNHCR’s German-funded scholarship DAFI, she is pursing a university degree in nearby Erbil.

Sumaya’s father was injured in an accident in Syria.

Making her the main breadwinner of a family of ten.

She works as a database administrator in a health care centre.

Sumaya hopes to become a role model for other students uprooted by war.

DAFI has provided scholarships to over 8,000 refugees worldwide.
