Shotlist

1. Wide shot, exterior, UN Headquarters
2. Pan right, Lavrov walking to podium
3. Wide shot, GA Hall
4. SOUNDBITE (Russian) Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Russian Federation:
“The West has constructed its policy based on the principle of either you are with us or against us and they proceeded with a heedless expansion of NATO to the east provoking instability in post-Soviet area and spreading the anti-Russian sentiment. And it is in this policy where we can find the roots of the lengthy conflict in Ukraine. Despite the efforts through the Normandy format and of the Contact group, the authorities in Kiev are coming up with new ploys of how not to implement their commitments under the Minsk complex of measures from 12 February 2015 which was approved by the United Nations Security Council.”
5. Wide shot, Lavrov at the podium
6. SOUNDBITE (Russian) Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Russian Federation:
“Everyone is witnessing with an alarm today the new restrictions of the US against Iran which are also extraterritorial in nature and they threaten the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action which became one of the more important factors of regional and international stability. How wrong the unilateral sanctions can be it has been obvious a long time ago through a more than 50 year-long American embargo of Cuba. And that is something which basically all the member states of the UN have for decades asked to be lifted. We need to start listening to them.”
7. Med shot, Russian delegation
8. SOUNDBITE (Russian) Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Russian Federation:
“Even though the ISIS is in retreat in Syria and Iraq, we need to make a quite a few additional efforts to stabilize the region. Let me remind that we need to combat not only ISIS but also al-Nusrat which, for some reason, is being spared by the members of the American coalition.”
