Description
This film tells of three success stories: in Tunisia, where the raising of the marriage age, the outlawing of polygamy and other legislation has given women more control over their families' destinies; in Thailand, where good humour and innovation are at the heart of the family planning programme; and in Mexico, where family planning is wholly integrated into general health programmes with emphasis on mother and child care.
Government policies affecting the number and spacing of children will help minimize the devastation which recent rapid doublings of world population may bring by the end of the century.
