United Nations Educational and Training Programme for Southern Africa

Ambassador Martin Huslid, Chairman of the Advisory Committee on the United Nations Educational and Training Programme for Southern Africa (UNETPSA), discusses the United Nations efforts to provide educational and training assistance to academic institutions and victims of Apartheid inside and outside South Africa. These programmes concentrate on providing professional opportunities that generate jobs for the black population. Ambassador Huslid appeals to the International Community to follow up on the educational reforms in South Africa, even after the pillars of apartheid have been eradicated. He suggests what South Africa needs is an educational system with more justice and equal opportunities for all citizens.
