Ji Chaozhu, Under-Secretary-General of the UN Department of Technical Cooperation for Development, says a new era of international relations and cooperation is emerging. Technical Cooperation provided to developing countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia has helped a number of them discover and utilize their natural resources. To enable the United Nations to achieve the purposes and principles envisaged in its Charter, Ji believes that more resources should be made available to the world organization.
