Storyline

The UN Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is working with the World Food Programme (WFP) and other partners in preparing the establishment of a fourth Ebola treatment centre, in Makeke.

UN spokespersons Stéphane Dujarric today (31 Aug) told reporters in New York that the UN Mission is also “supplying food, water, electricity and tents to medical personal who are involved in vaccination interventions.”

Dujarric also said that "the World Health Organization (WHO) is continuing to work with the Government on “a 30-day readiness plan against the Ebola virus in all provinces in the country.”
