Open briefing of the Counter-Terrorism Committee on the nexus between international terrorism and transnational organized crime.

The aim of the open briefing, which was organized in cooperation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI), was to (i) help strengthen the understanding of the nexus as it pertains to criminal activities linked to trafficking in persons committed for the purpose of supporting terrorism, the nexus between drug trafficking and terrorism, and arms trafficking and terrorism; and (ii) promote a discussion of responses.
