Description
Among the Living: Is there such a thing as an “optimum” world population? This film raises these questions while looking closely at the town of Huntington on Long Island, one of many satellite communities surrounding New York city. The civic leaders of Huntington, in drawing their plans of development, are examining the interlinked questions of environment and population. The film also presents the views on population of such noted authorities as Paul Ehrlich, Barry Commoner, Philip Hauser, Alan Guttmacher and Lincoln Day.
