Security Council
3413th Meeting of Security Council: Situation in Haiti - Part 1
The Security Council condemned the continued disregard of the Governer’s Island agreements by the illegal de facto regime, and the regime's refusal to cooperate with the efforts by the United Nations and the Organization of American States (OAS) to bring about their implementation.
The Council is gravely concerned by the significant further deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Haiti, in particular the continuing escalation by the illegal de facto regime of systematic violations of civil liberties, the desperate plight of Haitian refugees and the recent expulsion of the staff of the International Civilian Mission (MICIVIH).
