The UN Framework Convention for Climate Change Executive Secretary Patricia Espinosa today (01 Nov) announced that the Conference of Parties Bureau has agreed that COP25 will take place from 2 - 13 December in Madrid, Spain.

On 30 October, Espinosa was informed of the decision by the Government of Chile not to host COP25 in view of the difficult situation that the country is undergoing.
