The Secretary-General is now on his way to Addis Ababa, where he will take part in the 33rd African Union Summit.

Vladimir Voronkov, the head of the UN Office on Counterterrorism, briefed the Security Council this morning on the threat posed by Da’esh, and said that, even following the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Da’esh remains at the centre of transnational terrorist activity.
