Storyline

Nabil Attard, a refugee chef from Syria, lived through a crisis in his home country. Now living in France, he prepares meals for the frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic in his new country.

Nabil fled Syria for France in 2015 with his family and opened his own restaurant, Narenj, in 2018 in Orleans. As the COVID-19 pandemic spread throughout France, Nabil felt he needed to act. He got to work preparing food for frontline healthcare workers at the Infectious Disease Service of Orléans Hospital and the Orléans Firefighters with a weekly buffet of Syrian food.
