"The intervention we're doing on the data center, we must prevent any attack on equipment and workers. We also need to protect the personnel who work here on a daily basis and therefore we provide security with the Central African Armed Forces and the Gendarmerie. So, it's about protecting the equipment, the staff, so that the elections that are going to take place on 27 December go well.”

"This centre has high-end equipment for the management of electoral data. And so, since 2015, this equipment has been used and secured by Central African law enforcement and MINUSCA forces. And today, it is this same equipment that is used, from mapping, voter registration and processing results management which will soon be operational in a few weeks. There is equipment like high-end servers, which have been there since 2015. And many others like the latest generation printers we have just acquired. So, for all this equipment, we need good security."

Electoral materials arriving in the Central Africa Republic for the upcoming general elections are being protected around the clock by national security forces and UN peacekeepers from the Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central Africa Republic (MINUSCA).
The first round of legislative and presidential elections is scheduled for December 27.

Since 2015, the data processing center at the National Election Authority has housed high-end and sensitive equipment for the management of electoral data. UN peacekeepers and Internal security provide 24/7 security.

The deployment of sensitive material including ballot boxes, voting booths, as well as voter cards from the capital, Bangui to provinces is currently ongoing under the tight security provided by MINUSCA.
