Sealed ballot boxes containing votes from seven out of 16 prefectures Central Africa Republic have arrived Wednesday at the premises of the National Elections Authority (ANE) in capital Bangui.
Nearly two million Central African voters went to the polls on December 27, 2020 to elect their president and deputies. With the voting over, ballot boxes with casted votes from the prefecture's (regions/provinces) have started to arrive in the capital Bangui- M’poko airport for processing.
MINUSCA, the United Nations Peacekeeping mission in Central Africa has provided air and ground transport and security throughout the electoral process.

The processing of the results will take eight days according to the Central African electoral code. The first partial results of the presidential and legislative elections of December 27 will be known on January 4.
