Faustin-Archange Touadéra officially begun his second term as President of Central African Republic after his election victory was confirmed by the country's Constitutional Court.

He was officially sworn in on Tuesday (30 Mar) during a ceremony organized at the hemicycle of the National Assembly, in the presence of Burundian President Evariste Ndayishimiye.

SOUNDBITE (French) Faustin-Archange Touadéra, President Central African Republic (CAR):
“My wish, which is moreover that of most of the Central Africans, is that at the end of this mandate, no more armed groups should be active on the national territory.”
