The UN country team in Myanmar remains “deeply concerned over the continued use of force against children,” and called on security forces “to refrain from violence and keep children and young people out of harm's way,” the UN spokesperson said on Thursday (10 Jun).

Briefing reporters during the regular daily press conference in New York, the spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General Stephane Dujarric also said that the UN's Children's Fund (Unicef) reported that 56 children have been killed by security forces, since the military took control of the government on last Friday.
