The President of the General Assembly, Abdulla Shahid, today addressed the ECOSOC Youth Forum. Speaking via video message, President Shahid said the world today is confronted with multiple crises – from climate change and biodiversity loss, to inequality, COVID and conflict. He noted that the ECOSOC Youth Forum is a unique opportunity to bring together youth representatives, governments, and the UN System to benefit from the perspectives of young people.
