Starting with the Stockholm+50 in Sweden… The President of the General Assembly, Abdulla Shahid, today co-hosted a special event on “achieving a sustainable and inclusive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic: (Re)shaping economies for women”. It was co-hosted with the Swedish Government and the UN Foundation.

President Shahid today also met with a group of women representatives to the Stockholm+50. He also spoke with a group of young people working on environmental activism, led by IM, Swedish Development Partner. And took part in the presentation of the Stockholm+50 Global Youth Policy Paper. He also met with the Speaker of Sweden’s Rikstag, Mr. Andreas Norlén. And with Lord Zac Goldsmith, the UK’s Minister for the Pacific and International Environment.
