The 11th Emergency Special Session will resume next week.

President Kőrösi today spoke against plastics, which is found in all remote regions of the planet, from our groundwater to the stratosphere.

Since we met yesterday, Member States adopted a resolution making 18 November as the World Day for Prevention of, and Healing from Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Violence.

Tomorrow the General Assembly will debate the report of the International Atomic Energy Agency – IAEA.

My OPGA human rights colleagues kindly shared the list of resolution for action in the Third Committee on Thursday.
They are nine drafts in three categories: the advancement of women; the right of peoples to self-determination; and the human rights questions, including alternative approaches for improving the effective enjoyment of human rights and fundamental freedoms.

President Kőrösi met this morning with the European Union Heads of Missions. The focus was on priority issues of the General Assembly, including follow-up on Our Common Agenda.
