Description

President Csaba Kőrösi today spoke to the opening session of the ECOSOC Youth Forum.

He called today’s young people warriors… fighting the odds against climate change and other global crises on behalf of themselves, their families, communities and the planet…

In the General Assembly this morning, there is a plenary meeting under the agenda item “Prevention of armed conflict”… on the Report of the International, Impartial and Independent Mechanism to Assist in the Investigation and Prosecution of Persons Responsible for the Most Serious Crimes under International Law Committed in the Syrian Arab Republic since March 2011.

Turning to the President’s other main bilateral today…

This afternoon, he will meet with Minister Riad Malki, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Palestine.

At 3PM, Secretary-General António Guterres will brief on the special edition of his report on “Progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals”.

That will be in the ECOSOC Chamber.
