Continuation of the debate on the item

The Assembly encouraged the Secretary-General and the Government of Cambodia to take all measures necessary to fully implement the Addendum to the Agreement between the United Nations and the Government of Cambodia concerning the prosecution under Cambodian law of crimes committed during the period of Democratic Kampuchea on the Transitional Arrangements and the Completion of Work of the Extraordinary Chambers. It further requested the Secretary-General to report to the Assembly at its seventy-ninth session on the implementation of the present resolution.

The resolution addresses all issues in a clear and balanced manner, yet, adoption is not enough as the international community must move to make mental health a part of universal health coverage. The General Assembly is adopting, for the first time, a resolution that dignifies mental health and protects human rights while calling for the right to mental health services and psychosocial support for all.
