Action is expected on a draft resolution that would create an Independent Institution on Missing Persons in the Syrian Arab Republic.
The next item on the agenda is the report of the Special Political and Decolonization Committee, that’s the C34.
The third item is about Security Council reform. Action is expected on oral decision on the intergovernmental negotiations on Security Council reform. If approved, this will mark the end of the IGN for the 77th session.
President Csaba Kőrösi will have remarks on Security Council reform.
In terms of what else is on President Kőrösi’s agenda, later today, he will take part in an informal retreat organized for the members of the Peacebuilding Commission.
That discussion is being held under Chatham House Rule.
Turning to gender equality…
This Friday – tomorrow – is the last day of the joint campaign organized by President Kőrösi and the head of UN Women, Executive Director Sima Bahous, to encourage all Permanent Missions to complete the UN online trainings on gender equality and the prevention of sexual harassment.
