Fear and panic grip Palestinians sheltering in Rafah as hostilities expand in the densely packed area, supposed to provide a safe refuge for over 1.5 million people.

The World Health (WHO) organization said, “There truly is nowhere safe in Gaza. People are already living in unimaginable conditions.”

According to WHO, a new wave of displacement and additional injuries will have a catastrophic impact on people’s health and mental wellbeing and increase the trauma burden on the already ailing health system - pushing it closer to the brink of collapse.
