Description

Complete press conference to announce the release of a report requested by the Secretary General to reviewthe possibility that Hamas used sexual violence against Israeli women as part of their October 7, 2023 attack on Israel. Based on the information it gathered, the mission team found clear and convincing information that sexual violence, including rape, sexualized torture, cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment has been committed against victims who died on October 7 and also hostages. The mission has reasonable grounds to believe that such violence may be ongoing against those still held in captivity.
