8. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Abu Kamal Al-Yaziji, displaced from Gaza City:
“I am tired of life because there is no life in Gaza. Gaza has no future. Gaza: When are our children going to learn if the schools are closed? Gaza has no health facilities and no hospitals. What kind of life is this? How is life going to go on in Gaza?”
Thousands of Palestinian families began new displacement journeys from the city of Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip to the central areas of the Gaza Strip after Israel began a military operation in the eastern areas of the city.
Al-Rasheed Street, west of the Gaza Strip, was crowded with thousands of cars and trucks carrying displaced people and their tents to be set up in the middle of the Gaza Strip, amid a state of tension and anxiety experienced by residents.
