With the escalation of hostilities in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, hundreds of families and their children began to flee from their homes and shelters to places that might be safer.

UNICEF staff continue to respond to the critical needs of children across the Gaza Strip, but access is becoming increasingly difficult and dangerous.
