So where is our right to live and be sensible? Where is the freedom. We are children and we live scared from the occupation. We wanted all my rights.”

Storyline

At the Al-Istiqlal camp for displaced persons in central Deir al-Balah, the Director of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in the Palestinian Territories, Ajith Sunghay, on Wednesday (17 July) visited one of the classrooms set up in tents for Palestinian children and informed them about their rights under international humanitarian law.

The children conveyed testimonial messages through the United Nations News camera to the world, explaining their need to stop the war and return to their homes.
