In a continuing effort to promote participation in the multilateral treaty framework of the United Nations, the Headquarters in New York will host the annual Treaty Event from 24 to 27 September 2024. During the Treaty Event, Member States are invited to sign or become a party to multilateral treaties deposited with the United Nations Secretary‑General by depositing instruments of ratification or accession. These cover a wide range of areas of global concern, including human rights, disarmament, penal matters, law of the sea, and the environment.
