Storyline

In Yambio the capital of South Sudan’s Western Equatoria state, young artists are using their creativity to drive positive change. Under the theme ‘Building Our Future Together,’ secondary school students participated in an interschool arts competition organized by the United Nations family in South Sudan.

The event provided a platform for students to express their hopes for peace, unity, and a sustainable future through modern dance, drawings, and environmental art. Their call for collective action added a distinct local touch to the UN's 80th anniversary celebration.

A tree-planting initiative has also been launched to create a healthier environment for future generations.
