Addressing a discussion on “Who Brokers Trust Now?” on the Forum’s sidelines, Baerbock said, “more and more member states hesitate when circumstances demand principled conviction. Voices that were once outspoken in their support for all the three pillars of the United Nations Charter - peace and security, sustainable development, and human rights - fall more and more silent in the face of their erosion.”
