Special Event: UN Business Council Luncheon, Secretary General Boutros-Ghali speech, 23 May 1996
First annual (1996) World Conference of the United Nations Business Council. The Business Council was an attempt by the UN to advocate and coordinate for funding from the private sector to finance targeted UN programs in addition to annual dues from member states.
Secretary General Boutros Boutros-Ghali addresses the financial crisis facing the UN in 1995, speaking frankly to business leaders about both the challenges to and values of the United Nations during its 50th anniversary.
The luncheon is hosted by Samuel Brookfield.
