“Am Dafock, au-delà des programmes sécuritaires et des violences que subit la population à la frontière avec le Soudan, est difficilement accessible. Et donc la facilitation aérienne était le seul moyen de pouvoir leur fournire l’aide nécessaire.”

5. SUNDBITE (English) Aurore Vinot, multimedia specialist and communications officer, World Food Programme (WFP):
“The emergency operation in Am Dafock, led by the World Food Programme has been conducted to assist vulnerable people and displaced people in Am Dafock, at the border with Sudan. It’s a place really difficult for the access. And thanks to the coordination with the MINUSCA (the UN Peacekeeping mission in the Central African Republic), we had that transport facilitation. Thanks to that flight, we’ve been able to distribute more than 20 tons of food and nutritional supplements for the health centre.”

In November 2025, the World Food Programme (WFP) launched an emergency response in Am Dafock, Central African Republic (CAR), to assist 12,000 conflict-affected people, including those displaced by violence spreading from Sudan, by distributing High-Energy Biscuits and specialized nutritious food.
This operation was conducted in a highly isolated area of the Vakaga Prefecture, which saw significant deterioration in security between June and October 2025 due to cross-border incursions from the Sudan conflict.
The UN peacekeeping mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), facilitated the operation by air transport and providing security in the area.
