Mulet addressed the staff gathered at MINUSTAH’s compound on behalf of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who is currently in London attending a high-level meeting on Afghanistan.
MINUSTAH’s staff, whether civilian or uniformed, national or international, attended the service.
Jens Kristensen, who was found under the rubble at MINUSTAH’s headquarters at Christopher Hotel, five days after the quake, was also present at the service.
Mulet expressed sadness at the loss of the leadership of MINUSTAH – the late Hedi Annabi and Luis Carlos da Costa.
