On Tuesday, 6 July 2010, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will address the 64th session of the General Assembly at 3 p.m. in the United Nations (UN) General Assembly Hall.

The British monarch is slated to address the 192-member General Assembly for the first time in over 50 years.

As the head of State of the United Kingdom and 15 other UN Member States, the Queen has addressed the General Assembly only once before, in 1957.

Queen Elizabeth is head of state for the United Kingdom, Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Grenada, Jamaica, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Solomon Islands and Tuvalu.
