The population of Dollow in Southern Somalia is usually around 30,000 but these days there is a constant flow of people, in the thousands, coming through most trying either to get to Mogadishu or Ethiopia.
They are in search of food and water as Somalia experiences the worst drought in decades.
These Somalis are displaced within their own country.
In the past three months a makeshift camp has sprung up in an area called Kasale. Here the displaced make do with what they find to shelter themselves from the wind and sun.
They survive on donations from host communities but the locals are finding it difficult to keep up with the needs of so many.
Kheyre Ismail, a young mother of a one year old, is a recent arrival.

A local non-government organization (NGO) has started registering these displaced and United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) is expected to bring aid to the region.
SOUNDBITE (English) Bruno Geddo, Representative, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees:
“In this context UNHCR will consider distributing emergency assistance packages to these displaced people once the transit center is set up.”
UNHCR’s first airlift to Somalia in more five years is scheduled to begin early next week.
Much needed tents and other aid items will be flown in to assist the thousands of Somalis on the move inside their own country.
