Storyline

As part of his trip to Geneva, Switzerland United Nations Secretary-General ban Ki-moon today (1 March) visited the ehadquarters of the European Organization for Nuclear Research, CERN.

Back in December 2012 The United Nations General Assembly in New York adopted a resolution granting CERN observer status. That status gave the Organization the right to participate in the work of the General Assembly and to attend its sessions as an observer.

CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is the world's leading laboratory for particle physics. It has its headquarters in Geneva.
