United Nations University
The United Nations University, created in Tokyo in 1975, is a very special kind of university, where there are no students and no campus. The basic idea of the University, says Mr. Gurgulino, is to have an international community of scholars devoted to the most pressing problems facing mankind. With this in mind the University is carrying out research and projects through a vast network of institutions in both developed and developing countries in order to find solution to these problems.
