Undp Fisheries Project In Gaza
In a effort to improve working conditions for fishermen in the Gaza Strip and West Bank region, UNDP has financed a fisheries complex. It is part of a wide-ranging programme of assistance to Palestinians. But the dream is for a real port, which UNDP estimates would double the annual catch and would maintain fishing as an economically viable industry in the Gaza Strip.
