Bamako Initiative Boosts Health Care In Benin

Benin, one of the poorest countries in the world, is having a difficult time providing basic health care for its population. Thanks to the Bamako initiative devised by African Health Ministers in 1987 Benin is able to offer affordable modern drugs and essential health care more widely available with the help of the UN Children's Fund.
