Arab Women Meet To Discuss Development Challenges In The 1990s

In many parts of the Arab World, women are stepping out from their traditional role as mothers and homemakers. Arab women are tackling the challenges of the 1990's. Safa El-Shimy, a Cairo University graduate, decided to go farming on land of her own in Nubaria, north of Cairo for leaders of Arab women. Attended by more than 150 participants, the conference exchanged views on what women can achieve in the development of the region.
