U.N. Force Monitors Borders To Former Yugoslav Republic Of Macedonia

At the request of the Government of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, United Nations peace-keepers monitor and observe activities along the borders with Serbia and Albania. An American contingent has joined the UN force in this preventive mission. This marks the first time that American soldiers are taking part in this type of monitoring activity with the United Nations.
