Poor Rains Necessitate Emergency Food Relief In Laos
Lack of rain in Laos has brought a severe rice shortage necessitating the trucking in of food by the World Food Programme. Almost half a million people have been affected by the drought. It is hoped that enough relief aid can be distributed in time to prevent Laotians from being internally displaced in search of food.
