Zimbabwe Tries For Balance Between Human Needs And Wildlife

The northwestern corner of Zimbabwe holds two very special tourist attractions: Victoria Falls and abundant wildlife. Ironically, laws to protect elephants from illegal poaching are so effective that Zimbabwe, unlike other African countries, is trying to cope with an over-population of elephants. Zimbabwe therefore tries to balance the local needs of farmers with wildlife tourism.
